Burg Vischering 2025
Wednesday, December 31, 2025
With his unmistakable style, Liam Ehm combines the emotional depth of orchestral film music with the intimacy of a simple piano recital – for everyone who doesn’t just want to hear music, but experience it. Inspired by the overarching annual theme “Blickwechsel [Shift in Perspective]”, which shapes all events at Burg Vischering in 2025, the young pianist and composer curates the traditional New Year’s Eve concert presented by the District of Coesfeld. Starting at 3:30pm on December 31, 2025, the Münster-based musician will look back on the year through music in the castle’s event hall – with a special focus on the works of female composers.
“Familiar melodies encounter new perspectives, weaving together into a concert full of feeling, lightness, and confidence in what lies ahead,” announces Culture Officer Flora Tesch of the District of Coesfeld. Whether fans of instrumental film music, lovers of emotional piano sounds, or curious explorers: this concert touches a wide audience and lingers long after it ends.
Liam Ehm first discovered the piano at the age of four. After fifteen years of classical training with diplomas and masterclasses, he released his debut album “Concepts” in 2021, followed by “Concepts Noirs” in 2023. These works established his characteristic approach of creating narrative compositions inspired by natural elements, each forming a self-contained yet interconnected musical world.
